Dear BRH Parents and Guardians,

We have been made aware of a nation-wide trend, where students post a threat regarding gun
violence in schools on social media. We believe it originated with TikTok, but it has been seen on
Instagram and Facebook as well. Specifically, the viral threat focuses on a shooting at a school on
Friday, December 17. This did not originate in our area and there is no evidence of any threat to our
school.
We encourage you to talk to your kids about the consequences of such actions, which can
include disciplinary action with the school, but also with law enforcement.
We would like to reassure everyone at this time that there are no reported threats to Bark River-Harris Schools. Your children’s safety is our utmost priority. If you know of any specific threats or witness any suspicious activity, please contact Menominee County Central Dispatch (906-863-7704) immediately.

Cordially,
Jason Lockwood,
Ed.S BRH-Superintendent
